“While on placement I was treated as an independent intern rather than
a student. It was such a privilege to work in a national museum, and
on such a well renowned collection. I worked primarily on
archaeological ceramics and glass, developing many new skills relating
to working in the museum sector. I gained a lot of confidence in my
own ability as a conservator and the experience helped me decide on my
future aims in conservation.”
